Contact Tracing Services

Quickly Deployable | Easily Scalable

Education | Support | Screening | Tracing | Intelligence | Follow-Up | Compliance

When existing resources are insufficient to proactively provide contract tracing services for a business, community., or global enterprise, AEGIS Watch can step in utilizing advanced technology, dataset searches, and our experienced team of GSOC operators for private Covid-19 support services and contract tracing operations.

AEGIS’ contact tracing efforts, headquartered in a Los Angeles based global security operations and intelligence analysis center has the capability to provide customers with scaled solutions backed by the latest communication, monitoring, and emergency response technology. We can leverage deployed technological solutions including on-site automated temperature screening tools, monitored access control systems, health screening questionnaires, and rapid deployment of contact tracers if a positive event is triggered.

Staffed 24/7 Covid-19 Education & Support Center

AEGIS Watch supports clients with a 24/7 staffed global security operations center with professional security and risk management analysts cross trained in Covid-19 prevention and response. Operators provide real time support for our customers’ staff, providing pre-vetted canned responses and education on behalf of the client. This may include current remote or repopulation protocols, instructions regarding PPE and personal safety, instructions for local testing or guidance for industrial care clinics, and self isolation/quarantine information, and confirmed negative return to work guidance. We can immediately escalate from education and support to contact tracing when information gathered meets the threshold for additional efforts.

Daily Digital Health Checks/Inbound Call Health Checks

Flexible to meet our client’s needs, we can facilitate outbound digital employee health questionnaires and contact employees in real time to presumptive positive responses. In addition, inbound calls for guidance and assistance can be parlayed into health screening with presumptive positive assumptions based on the latest CDC guidance, local directives, and coupled with our clients’ risk management tolerances. Once a patient is identified, the tracing process can begin.

Contact Tracing Services + Technology Support

Funneling through the inbound pipeline of health checks, inbound calls for information, or inbound calls reporting assumptive cases, our GSOC operators are trained to perform contact tracing immediately upon identification of an assumed case. This function can be performed with or without on-site access control  and visitor management system logs via systems installed through AEGIS’ integrators, or through existing deployed technology. Information obtained through the contact tracing process is logged and passed through to our customers as actionable intelligence, allowing them to make informed operational decisions quickly.

This herculean task of contact tracing involves working through an interaction tree starting someone who has tested positive or is experiencing symptoms of an infectious disease or virus. The process involves starting with patient “0” and working your way backwards to those who they have interacted with. The process is time consuming and labor intensive, but is made much more efficient through the use of technology. A single patient can trigger dozens of potential contacts during the infection incubation period.

Contact tracing will require an army, said Governor Cuomo of New York, referencing the sheer volume of detectives, investigators, and public health experts that need to track down, interview, and isolate people experiencing systems or who are awaiting testing. The reason for this is the deep dive in to individuals’ lives during the period they may have been contagious. If one individual came in contact with 10 people, and those 10 people have come in contact with 10 more people, the contact tracing investigator will have to survey 100 people. The numbers start to add up quickly and become overwhelming to government funded investigators. A recent report from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health suggested that as many as 100,000 contact trace investigators would need to effectively manage the influx of contact tracing need.

Options for Consideration Based on Contact Tracing Efforts

Based on the results of the team’s efforts, customers will be provided with a range of response considerations allowing them to meet the exposure with a scaled response.

Presumptive positive or confirmed positive cases reinforces the reasoning behind isolation and safer at home restrictions. In addition to the immediate benefit of minimizing contact with potentially infected asymptomatic individuals, having fewer professional and social contacts by identifying exposure faster minimizes the need for a broader contact tracing investigation.

Ongoing Support for Presumptive/Confirmed Cases

While some governments and private technology companies have aided contract tracing services by utilizing smart phone apps to automatically determine whether someone has been in contact with an infected person, in the United States, use of such apps or technology will almost assuredly be opt in.

Follow up of presumed or confirmed positive cases until symptoms subside, negative tests are confirmed, or whatever standard is put in place by our customers is managed through the GSOC’s ticketing and workflow system. Customers’ employees will not be provided return to work clearance or guidance until they are confirmed to be negative for Covid-19.

In the absence of over taxed public health or government resources, businesses can proactively source the contacts of their own teams by hiring a licensed private investigator to perform contract tracing services. AEGIS Security & Investigations has assembled a team of investigators, medical researchers, public health experts, and medical professionals ready to work with our clients to support their contact tracing goals. We utilize traditional investigative techniques coupled with technology and industry databases to source information for unknown individuals to continue the contact tracing process.

Covid-19 Related Intelligence Gathering and Analysis
