Collaboration is necessary in protecting a nation. That’s why AEGIS is a proud member of InfraGard Los Angeles (IGLA).

InfraGard is a partnership program between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and private sector stakeholders that aims to share information and resources to combat crime and terrorism. It is currently comprised of 86 separate 501(c)3 non-profit member alliances, representing more than 48,000 subject matter experts.

IGLA is the largest alliance with 2,100 members (and counting). It houses 21 sectors, each requiring unique training opportunities and intelligence briefs.

The greatest benefit of joining InfraGard is the ability to gain a greater understanding of threats posed to your locale by common criminals and foreign adversaries. Additionally, key access to information and tools will equip you and your team with the most current practices.

Another institution that allows those in the security sector to unite in combating crime and terrorism is the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN). Members join a community of interest, which may include work in critical infrastructure, emergency services, intelligence and law enforcement, and invest in the goal of protecting federal, state, local, territorial, tribal, international and private sector facets.

The greatest advantage of joining HSIN is the access Sensitive But Unclassified information from homeland security mission operations. Members, in conjunction with Homeland Security, are able to put forth actions for new best practices and elevated intelligence gathering.

Ultimately, collaborating with a national agency enhances the private sector’s ability to fill in gaps and extend counter-criminal and counterterrorism activity.
