About the AIDS Mailing List

The AIDS Mailing List is a way for you to get the latest HIV/AIDS news delivered to you via email.

COST: Subscribing is free, as is everything here at ÆGIS. We are user supported. Find out how you can help here.

SOURCES: Our sources are news organizations from around the world. Articles are sent to mailing list subscribers with permission of the publishers.

PRIVACY: We never sell or rent information about our subscribers. Your email address will only be used for the AEGIS mailing list.

MODES: There are two versions (or "modes") of the mailing list --

Version
    Description
    Benefits
    Drawbacks
STANDARD Subscribers to the standard list get 5 to 15 email messages daily. Each message has one news article dealing with HIV.

There is one news article per email message. That makes it easy to scan the topics quickly by looking at the subject of each message.

You get at least 5 separate email messages every day. On a busy news day, you will receive more than five.

DIGEST Subscribers to the digest get one big email message daily. The digest contains all the news articles sent to the standard list, but they are collected into a single, larger message. Your email inbox doesn't fill up with lots of small messages. It's more difficult to see what topics are covered because you have to open the digest and scan it to see individual subjects.
