The Living for Tomorrow was a 3-year action research project for 1998-2000, funded by the Nordic Institute for Women's Studies and Gender Research. It focused on the youth, sexual health and the cultural landscapes of gender and sexuality in Nordic, Baltic, and NW Russian areas during this time of transition of the HIV/AIDS era. The purpose of this report, Challenging Gender Issues, is to present "the perceptions of gender and sexual relationships between men and women, gathered by self-completion questionnaire from a sample of young people living in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia" and explore "ways in which engaging with questions about how gender functions, how perceptions about men and women circulating among young people, can influence how young people think about their sexual relationships and actual sexual behaviors." The report goes into detail about the results with an extended discussion complemented with numerous tables and appendices. This is a very interesting report and one that researchers around the world should study and use. Recommended for all academic and medical libraries.
