This "is a summary of developments in HIV/AIDS policy and law in Canada and abroad. Its aim is to educate people about and inform them of policy and legal developments and to promote the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences." Feature articles in this issue are: "Preventing Mother-to-Child Transmission," "Compulsory HIV Testing after an Occupational Exposure," "Establishing Safe Injection Facilities in Canada: Legal and Ethical Issues," "Report on Complementary/Alternative Health Care and HIV/AIDS," and "HIV/AIDS in Prisons: New Developments." Also, are Canadian and International news articles including "Physicians Dislike New Medical Marijuana Regulations," "Manitoba to Develop Aboriginal AIDS Strategy," "United Nations Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS," "South Africa: Defiance Campaign Continues," and "Criminal Law and HIV Transmission/Exposure." There are ten articles dealing with HIV/AIDS in the courts throughout the world.

This is an excellent publication that provides a review of the legal aspects of AIDS throughout the world. It is very readable and well documented for all levels of readers. Highly recommended for all libraries.
