There is very little known about male bisexuality in the United States resulting in many myths and fictions. There is far more written about female bisexuality than male bisexuality. There is a lack of information about male bisexual behavior and how this has impacted on the social aspects of these individuals. The editors have brought together a collection of essays with the primary goal "to offer researchers, theorists, and more general readers new information and perspectives about male bisexuality through rigorously analytical, yet accessible, essays." "Even the simplest definition of bisexuality-emotional, sensual, and sexual involvement with or attraction to both men and women-is premised on notions that are not reflective of some bisexuals' experiences and sensibilities." These essays provide a range of behaviors and identities that hopefully will make bisexual men better understood.

After an introductory chapter that outlines the purpose of these essays the six chapters delve into: "Interpreting the Invisibility of Male Bisexuality: Theories, Interactions, Politics," "Make Me a Map: Bisexual Men's Images of Bisexual Community," "Male Bisexuality and HIV Risk," "Bi-Negativity: The Stigma Facing Bisexual men," "Writing Our Own Script: How Bisexual Men and Their Heterosexual Wives Maintain Their Marriages After Disclosure," and "The Married Man On-Line." These are well written essays that provide a unique insight of the lives of bisexual men. This is a must book for those who are having difficulty in coping with the feelings of being bisexual. It is a highly recommended book for all academic libraries and would be appropriate for large public libraries.
