Sexually transmitted infections are of great concern to those who are treating HIV positive individuals. It is, therefore, very important that clinicians are able to quickly and easily identify such infections. The first edition of this book was published in 1991 as Colour Aids to Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Since medical knowledge is constantly changing and new information becomes available concerning treatment, procedures, equipment and drugs, this second edition became necessary. It is a small book with a great amount of information accompanied with excellent color photographs. The infections that are covered include urethritis in men, vaginal discharge, genital ulceration, non-specific genital infection, Reiter's syndrome, gonorrhoea, genital warts, genital herpes, molluscum contagiosum, hepatitis, Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, HIV, genital candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, enteric infections in gay men, pthiriasis, scabies, syphilis, chancroid, granuloma inguinale, lymphogranuloma venereum, genital dermatoses, and genital lesions. This is an excellent book recommended for all health science libraries and clinical libraries.
