New Video Details Nutritional Needs for HIV

A new video entitled "The HIV+ Survival Guide," put out by the educational non-profit organization Lifeforce, deals directly with the issue of HIV associated malnutrition. The video addresses the unique and specific nutritional requirements of the HIV+ individual and provides a practical step by step program to avoid malnutrition and maintain optimal health.

The "HIV+ Survival Guide Diet for Living in the Age of AIDS" is 60 minutes long and comes with a supplement filled with additional medical information on HIV and tasty immune boosting recipes. A viewing copy of the video is available in the Being Alive library in Silver Lake or the tape can be purchased for $39.95 by calling 1.800.788.8823. Proceeds from the sale of the tape fund free lectures for the public, AIDS organizations and professional healthcare workers.

The video's creator is Steve Frankel, a nutritional lecturer who is himself HIV+. As part of Lifeforce's lecture series, Mr. Frankel will be speaking at Being Alive in Silver Lake on Wednesday, February 23, at 7pm.
