AIDS Treatment Update, Issue 45, September 1996
Edward King
A researcher exploring why some individuals remain uninfected with HIV, despite having been sexually exposed to the virus on numerous occasions, is keen to interview HIV-positive people who were infected recently.
By interviewing people who were infected within the last year and can recall their own likely exposure to HIV in the years prior to their diagnosis, she hopes to establish how much 'exposure' it usually takes for a person to become infected.
The structured interview can be taken either face-to-face, by telephone, by letter or by e-mail. Details will be held in the strictest confidence and will be linked only to code-numbers, not to individuals' names and addresses.
