AIDS TREATMENT UPDATE, Issue 43, July 1996
Edward King
NAM, in association with the Treatment Action Taskforce and the Network of Self-Help HIV/AIDS Groups, is developing a national programme of treatment workshops.
The workshops are delivered by a trained team of facilitators, many of whom are living with HIV. They provide an easy to understand introduction to the latest concepts in HIV research as well as an opportunity to develop strategies to secure better treatment options and develop skills in negotiating with doctors.
The workshops can be adapted to the needs of a range of different groups of individuals or professionals, and are free to people living with HIV and to carers and volunteers.
For details on arranging a workshop in your area, call Keith Alcorn on 0171-627 3200.
