ACT UP: Enormous Worldwide Attention to New York Demos

AIDS TREATMENT NEWS - September 15, 2004
John S. James

Four AIDS demonstrations at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in New York got hundreds of stories in major print and broadcast media in the U.S. and many other countries, bringing AIDS and debt relief into everyday conversation worldwide.

ACT UP marched with other demonstrations as well, including the Poor People's March.
