New ADAP Monitoring Project Report Available

Information Bulletin #10 April/May 2000

AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) provide free medications to people with HIV/AIDS who have no or inadequate health insurance coverage. Eligibility for ADAP varies from state-to-state, as does the medications and services available. The Network's Access Project has been tracking ADAPs since 1994, making available information on each state program both in print and via the Internet.

Since 1996, The Network has also been collaborating with The National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) on the National ADAP Monitoring Project. The ADAP Monitoring Project is supported by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation of Menlo Park, California. Each year, NASTAD and the Network survey state ADAPs and report on their current status, including information on eligibility, drug coverage, program budgets and clients served. The March 2000 ADAP Monitoring Project Report is now available in print or by downloading from the Internet at http://www.atdn.org/access/adap/adap2000.pdf.

Past reports and links to state-by-state ADAP information are available from the main ADAP Monitoring Project website at http://www.atdn.org/access/adap.
