The FDA said the company had used the Internet to claim its products that include various dietary supplements and salves -- all branded under the Wilderness Family name -- could treat serious health conditions.
The federal agency said the legal action prohibits the company from manufacturing and distributing any products with unapproved claims that the products cure, treat, mitigate or prevent diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, chronic fatigue syndrome, human immunodeficiency virus, AIDS and arthritis.
