Rudetsky, who has lent his musical talents to "42nd Street" and "The Producers," organized the weekly event not only to entertain but also to donate its proceeds to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS organization, Playbill.com reported.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the top U.S. industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS organization, and receives all proceeds from the $10 donations required to attend "Chatterbox."
Former "American Idol" finalist Constantine Maroulis was scheduled to appear Thursday as this week's guest and discuss his recent Broadway debut in the musical, "The Wedding Singer."
The Web site said Maroulis, who finished sixth in "American Idol's" fourth season, had previously appeared in a tour of "Rent" and has degrees from both the Boston Conservatory and the Berklee College of Music.
