The retrial of the Bulgarian medics and a Palestinian doctor, sentenced in 2004 to death by a firing squad, was adjourned until Saturday, Focus said.
During the six-hour hearing on Tuesday, defense lawyers delivered pleas before the Tripoli Court of Appeals, arguing the six were sentenced on incorrect charges based on false evidence.
The charges allege the six defendants, who have been in Libyan jails for the past seven years, deliberately infected the children in 1999 in a Benghazi hospital with the HIV virus believed to cause AIDS.
In December, the Tripoli court overturned the death sentences and ordered a retrial that began in May.
