The Michigan native who now calls England home plans to launch six projects, all aimed at helping impoverished African children, the BBC reported Wednesday.
Benston Kilimbe of Malawi's social welfare department has been widely quoted as saying the 48-year-old mother of two plans on filing adoption papers while in Africa, but that has not been confirmed by the star or her husband, British filmmaker Guy Ritchie.
Madonna told Time magazine she intends to raise $3 million to to help Malawi's AIDS orphans.
