United Press International - November 14, 2005
The eBay auction, called BID 2 BEAT AIDS, will feature the original artwork from a Joni Mitchell album, a 2006 Vespa signed by Kanye West and others and signed scripts from "The Simpsons" and "Everybody Hates Chris."
In addition, the podium from the 2005 MTV Video Awards is going up for bid signed by Tom Cruise, his finance Katie Holmes and former wife, Nicole Kidman, among others.
Jennifer Lopez has donated an autographed jogging suit, Lil' Kim sent in her diamond watch and Elton John literally threw in his hat for the charity.
Several signed guitars, including one from Tim McGraw, Wynonna Judd and the guys from Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, also will go under the virtual hammer.
One of the strangest items is a signed bottle of officially licensed Lindsay Lohan Heinz ketchup.
The eBay auction begins on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. EST.
