It's not nearly as hilarious as "Lease" in "Team America: World Police," but fans of musicals will enjoy "Rent," now out on DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film is based on the play of the same name about a group of starving artists in New York (but the movie was filmed in San Francisco!) trying to pay the rent while having to deal with personal issues such as AIDS, poverty and illness. And if you've seen the play and were worried about how it would translate to film, director Chris Columbus did a admirable job creating a faithful adaptation. Extras: The DVD is offered in multiple versions. The two-disc version features an entire second disc of special features, including a 90-minute documentary "No Day But Today," deleted scenes and a number of musical performances not shown in the film. Price: $28.96. Rent or buy: Rent, of course.
