AIDS foundation plans benefit

Starting its 12th year, the Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation will hold "Help Is on the Way," a concert featuring Rita Moreno (above) and several other performers. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco. The event also includes a silent auction and a post-performance party.

Each year, the foundation donates all of its proceeds to an AIDS-related agency. This year's recipients will include:

HIV/AIDS program at Children's Hospital in Oakland

Project Inform

Maitri, the last dedicated AIDS hospice in San Francisco

This year's lineup will include Rita Moreno, Leslie Jordan, Stefanie Powers, Susan Anton, La Toya London, Sharon McNight, Lisa Vroman, Wesla Whitfield and Mary Wilson.
