Ms. Kent died Dec. 21 at her home in Durham, N.C., at age 55.
The service, to be held at the Meadow in the National AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park, will begin at 10 a.m. with a period of contemplation and meditation followed by a program at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the grove.
Friends and family are raising money to install an engraved boulder in the grove. Those interested in donating in Ms. Kent's memory can send a check payable to the National AIDS Memorial Grove, P.O. Box 2270, San Francisco, CA 94126. A note should be included stating that the gift is in memory of Ms. Kent. Or go to: www.aidsmemorial.org and click on the "Donate Now" button.
