Quilt commemorates those lost to AIDS

San Francisco Chronicle - Monday, July 16, 2007

More than 25,000 walkers participated in the AIDS Walk in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on Sunday. One of the sights along the 6.2-mile (10K) route was part of an AIDS quilt, above. More than $4.5 million was raised, according to Craig Miller, AIDS Walk founder and producer. This fundraiser benefits the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and 42 other AIDS organizations throughout the Bay Area.
