Dine for a cause in the Bay Area

On Nov. 30, nearly 50 Sonoma County restaurants will contribute a quarter of their food and drink proceeds to Food for Thought -- Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank.

Funds raised during Dining Out for Life will support nutrition services for county residents with HIV and AIDS.

Dine out at select restaurants in Marin County on Thursday and a portion of that evening's revenue will go to Homeward Bound of Marin.

Lark Creek Inn in Larkspur, Kitchen in Novato and others will donate 20 percent of your tab to the organization and its programs for homeless, men, women and children.

In San Francisco's Tenderloin, restaurants will whip up comfort food for Home Cookin', a Dec. 5 fundraiser for the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.

Cortez, Farmer Brown and others will donate 25 percent of the evening's proceeds to TNDC, which develops affordable housing in the Tenderloin and adjacent neighborhoods.
