At the new Crane Center, Suite 101, 105 N. Bascom Ave., San Jose, anonymous testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases is available on a walk-in basis. HIV testing is free and no appointment is necessary.
Fees for the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, counseling and partner referral services are based on a sliding scale determined by a patient's ability to pay.
The center is open 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and 1 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
Residents also may request treatment for HIV/AIDS at the Ira Greene Positive PACE Clinic, Suite 316-B, 2400 Moorpark Ave., San Jose.
The Crane Center's grand opening ceremonies are 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow, with ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the center at (408) 885-7000.
