CLEVELAND, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Nineteen-Ninety-Seven has been a watershed year in the relatively short history of HIV/AIDS in this country. For the first time, protease inhibitors have prolonged the lives of many for whom death seemed imminent.
