The Church's regional health and development co-ordinator, Florence Murugu said the book gave more details on the situation of the disease in the country and its mode of transmission.
Murugu said the translation was done in October 2001, and that the book was selling very fast especially in the rural areas.
She said the Church has also trained its pastors during seminars to help sensitise the people about the pandemic.
Murugu said although awareness about the disease countrywide was about 80 percent, infection was still spreading at a high rate due to poverty and the lackadaisical attitude towards sexuality by some sectors of society.
She said the Church had noticed a positive change in the sexual behaviour among its youth and called on parents to hold discussions on HIV/AIDS with their children.
