Officials said the "Together against AIDS" pact prescribes joint actions and the harmonisation of strategies at the nation level.
The First lady calls for "a national partnership against HIV/AIDS in Cote d'Ivoire and a coalition by the decision-makers and other members of the Ivorian society".
The signatory parties committed themselves to fight the pandemic by developing meaningful actions in their fields of operation.
The industry captains agreed to undertake information, education and communication activities on AIDS, as well as facilitate voluntary screening, advisory and support services for their workers and their families.
The pact also provides for easy access to condoms, treatment and management of sexually transmitted diseases for employees and their families.
It seeks to guarantee equality and respect for the rights of people infected with HIV/AIDS without discrimination.
