GOAL's deputy project manager, Moses Kamugisha said this year, they organised competitions where health centres in the district were required to draw and paint posters portraying male involvement in PMTCT activities.
"Eighteen health centres participated, but Sigulu, Bumoli and Nankoma health centres emerged best," he noted.
Kamugisha said the winning poster by Sigulu Health Centre would be developed and circulated to all health centres in the district. Bigger ones would be pinned on billboards in Bugiri town and Sigulu Islands.
He said each of the winning health centres received medical equipment worth sh15m, which included three fetoscopes, two body pressure machines, 100 thermometers, two stethoscopes and two weighing scales.
Kamugisha said the campaign was started after realising that most men paid little attention to PMTCT.
