Primary healthcare minister Emmanuel Otaala allayed fears that missing out of the funds would not affect the country's Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) programme.
He said only $7m out of over $70m approved in the previous rounds for ART programme had been disbursed.
Otaala's remarks follow reports that Uganda was bound to lose its share due to its reluctance to take action on the mismanagement of the previous allocations by November 15.
"It is not true that Uganda has been cut from the list of countries supposed to receive HIV money because of what happened sometime. It is because we applied for funds for all three diseases and only one proposal for TB was approved," Otaala told journalists in Kampala yesterday.
"We intended to use this money to train HIV/AIDS service providers like NGOs and CBOs to be well versed with what they offer to communities," he said.
