The stoves, made of clay, cement and sand, are an improved version with high heat retention and produce less smoke. The stoves can use either firewood or charcoal.
GTZ, through the Energy Advisory Project in the energy ministry, handed over the stoves to beneficiaries at various TASO centres at Mulago, Mbale, Jinja, Entebbe and Mildmay.
