The newly-graduated vendors will sensitise their colleagues on controlling the spread of the epidemic and try to bring an end to the stigma surrounding people living with HIV.
The function at Nakawa market on Thursday, was a follow-up of another that was held at St. Balikuddembe Market earlier this year.
Nakawa division LC3 chairman Protazio Kintu thanked the Norwegian government for funding the course.
He challenged Wapakabulo to intensify HIV/AIDS sensitisation campaigns to Kampala city's 54 markets.
"The anti-AIDS campaign should be focused in markets because this is where people from all the different suburbs of the city convene," he said.
Sam Kasoma, the co-ordinator of the Market Vendors' AIDS project, urged the newly-graduated peer educators to oversee a constant flow of ARVs to people living with HIV/AIDS.
The Government currently supplies ARVs to the market through Marie Stopes clinics.
