The chairman of born-again churches in Uganda, Apostle Alex Mitala, said the organisation's vision was to ensure that every crawling person in the world gets a wheelchair.
The Free Wheelchair Mission aims at giving wheelchairs to the disabled at no cost.
Mitala was speaking on Monday during the hand-over of 50 wheelchairs at the old bus park in Mbale town.
Mitala said the distribution would continue in Soroti, Busia, Bugiri, Iganga and Jinja, before coming to Wakiso.
He asked disabled women to guard against HIV/AIDS, saying it attacked indiscriminately.
"HIV/AIDS doesn't care whether you are disabled or not. People think you are free from Aids, they will bring it to you," Mitala said.
