Nakawa division MP, Fred Ruhindi said the education sector was a lucrative business that could be exploited to promote literacy.
He said the government had created an enabling environment, and with the current high demand, education was a good investment. "Every one is free to set up a school," he said.
Ruhindi was presiding over the end of year party at Twinkles Nursery and Daycare Centre in Kiwatule.
The director of the school, Schola Ndyagambaki handed over cerificates and prizes to about 20 pupils.
Ruhindi advised teachers and parents to instil morals and discipline in the children to make them responsible citizens. "We should not leave them ignorant and prone to HIV/AIDS. We need to play our part," he said.
He commended the teachers for their role in educating the children. The children entertained the guests with poems, cultural dances and songs.
