New Vision (Kampala) - November 18, 2003
Martin Kaahwa
"Owners of public places have to take this seriously and mind about protecting the lives of their clients.
"Starting today, I want you to put condom boxes in strategic places like toilets, urinals and in all rooms of lodges or hotels.
"We don't want to hear that somebody arrived in Masindi town late in the night and decided to have unprotected sex because all the shops were closed," Majara said.
He was recently speaking during the district health programme on Bunyoro Broadcasting Service radio.
"Last week I was in Kampala but in most hotels I found boxes of condoms strategically positioned in toilets with instructions 'pick only one'. This is what I want us to start doing," Majara said.
He said lodge owners who would not co-operate would be stopped from operating in the district.
