In a March 14 letter to the Bushenyi DEO, Tamwesigire said, "Oucha covered 45 schools in Mbarara district. His campaign has had a tremendous impact on pupils, students and the community. It my considered view that a resourceful young Ugandan like Oucha should be supported to spread the anti-HIV/AIDS gospel countrywide."
Meanwhile, Kibubura Girls and Ibanda Town School in Ibanda sub-district have erected an anti-Aids signpost to remind visitors and students of the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
"The sign-post is to be erected at the gate so that girls are reminded of HIV/AIDS as they leave the school campus," Kibubura Girls headmistress Ruth Sande said.
Ibanda Town School headmistress Caroline Tusiime said, "We are ready to inculcate the anti-Aids slogan as a culture. We have erected a sign post to remind the present and future generation of the dangers HIV/AIDS."
Oucha said Mbarara enabled him cover 45 schools in a month. He said he aims at covering 1,000 schools in Uganda before he goes abroad. He has covered about 400 schools in 13 districts.
