The deputy chief administrative officer, Kenneth Waniele, told The New Vision on Monday that 18 community groups in the district were already benefiting from the funds.
Waniele explained that the funds were supposed to be used by the communities to carry out campaigns against AIDS.
Waniele said the funds were also used in assisting orphans.
