The African Regional Coordinator of World Links for Development at the World Bank, Anthony Bloome, said Uganda had done well in the struggle against HIV/AIDS.
He said Uganda had attained international recognition for registering declining trends in the infection of HIV/AIDS.
"We are glad that Uganda has registered declining trends in HIV/AIDS infection.
We hope that the struggle against the HIV/AIDS pandemic goes on. Uganda is among other countries that are known for seriously fighting HIV/AIDS," Bloome said.
Bloome was on Thursday addressing delegates at a three-day workshop on HIV/AIDS and Information Communications Technology (ICT) at Colline Hotel, Mukono.
He said Uganda is the first country where pilot testing on HIV/AIDS and ICT has been carried out with an emphasis on education institutions.
It drew delegates from Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Canada, US and other stakeholders.
