Jinja To Set Up 4 More HIV Centres

JINJA district is to set up four more HIV/AIDS counselling and testing centres, the chairman of the district HIV/AIDS committee (DAC), Dr. Boniface Ntalo, has said.

Ntalo said the new centres would be constructed in the sub-counties of Budondo, Busedde, Mpumudde and Budima to make a total of eight centres.

Ntalo told The New Vision recently that construction of more counselling and testing facilities was due to public outcry. "There are many AIDS information centre clients who can not access the main centre in Jinja town," he said, adding that the number of clients was increasing.
