Two Million Ugandans Infected With HIV/Aids Virus - AIC

The Aids Information Centre (AIC) has confirmed that two million Ugandans are infected with the HIV virus.

AIC official Resty Bwanga said this at workshop on HIV/AIDS for local leaders from Buganda at the Bulange Plaza.

The workshop, facilitated by the Mengo ministry of health, attracted about 200 participants including sazza chiefs and clan heads.

Bwanga said despite the reported reduction in the HIV/AIDS prevalence in Uganda to below 6%, two million Ugandans had tested positive to the disease. Ends
