New Vision (Kampala) - August 24, 2002
Hilda Kalanzi, who runs a backyard clinic in Busega, Kampala, claims that 50 patients had turned HIV negative after taking her medicine.
The Monitor on Thursday reported that Kalanzi's clinic is at the back of her residential house, which is enclosed in a wall fence.
But the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council and the Uganda Medical Association rejected her claims to an AIDS cure.
They also disowned her, saying she is not registered and therefore cannot be recognised as a medical practitioner.
