Museveni for US AIDS Meeting

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has been selected to deliver the keynote address at the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa award ceremony in New York early next month.

The US$200,000 award to be given to four individuals is awarded by The Hunger Project, a global strategic organisation committed to end of hunger. The Hunger Project Uganda country director, Mrs. Jeanne Gasasira told the press on Tuesday at Kisozi House, that Museveni had agreed to address the Africa Prize 2001 award on October 13. "Museveni has done a lot in fighting the spread of HIV/AIDS in Uganda. He is the right person to address the ceremony.
