The New Vision (Uganda) - December 9, 2000

KAMPALA - The Bill Gates Foundation has donated US$15.3m (over sh27b) to Uganda for the implementation of national population programmes focusing on adolescents and HIV/AIDS. The Uganda Population Secretariat director, Dr. Jotham Musinguzi, on Thursday said the donation was in recognition of efforts by the Government to address youth issues and the AIDS epidemic. He announced the donation at a cocktail in honour of a visiting Nigerian delegation.
