An estimated 5 million new HIV infections occurred worldwide during 2001; that is about 14,000 infections each day. More than 95 percent of these new infections occurred in developing countries and approximately 6,000 infections were in young people aged 15 to 24.

These are alarming statistics and we at AEGiS feel that education and access to information is critical; we are working tirelessly to acquire and dispense the latest information available.
