Did you know that AEGiS is staffed by only four people! One of those takes care of the business side of AEGiS. All that you see on the Web Site is produced by three people working extraordinary hours. During this past few days we have been very busy trying to bring you all the news from the 14th International AIDS Conference in Barcelona. In addition to work on the site, Sister Mary Elizabeth has been working very hard to get free access to all the conference abstracts. It has been the mission of AEGiS to make HIV/AIDS information available freely throughout the Internet. Having various conference proceedings not only available but archived has been a standard that AEGiS has promoted for many years. There are over 600,000 visitors to AEGiS each month. In the past AEGiS has not been very self promoting regarding donations. But AEGiS is a public non-profit organization and it can only remain so if people will consider giving at least a small donation. So we will be making public pitches here in the future. We will try to keep them unobtrusive and hope that people will understand this necessity. We are trying to get .02% percent of our visitors to donate at least $10 to AEGiS annually.
