The health expo will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday inside Hall D of the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1700 Convention Center Dr. Admission is free.
The 5K run/walk starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in front of the AmericanAirlines Arena on Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami.
The 13.1-mile half-marathon and the 26.2-mile full marathon will run through Miami Beach, Brickell, Coconut Grove and downtown Miami. They start at 6 a.m. Sunday in front of the arena and will end at Bayfront Park, a few blocks south of the arena.
Those watching from the sidelines can encourage runners from the ING Cheering Zone at the Omni Center, Northeast 15th Street and Biscayne Boulevard.
The races will cause some traffic detours:
* Starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, Brickell Avenue will be closed to traffic except to residents of One Miami, as well as residents, employees and guests of the Miami Center and InterContinental Hotel. All others will have to use Miami Avenue Bridge to come into downtown Miami, and traffic will be rerouted onto Seventh Street.
* Starting at 10 p.m. Saturday and continuing until the races conclude Sunday afternoon, no traffic will be allowed on Biscayne Boulevard between Northeast Sixth and Eighth streets. Traffic will be rerouted downtown.
Vehicles heading north on Biscayne Boulevard will be redirected to Northeast First Avenue between First and 10th streets.
* During the race, traffic delays are expected eastbound on the MacArthur Causeway and westbound on the Venetian Causeway.
Participation fees are $25 for the 5K race; $70 for the half-marathon and $95 for the full marathon.
The ING Miami Marathon Weekend helps more than 10 charities raise funds for the Community Partnership for Homeless, AIDS research, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Achilles Track Club of South Florida, the National Hospice Foundation, autism research and diabetes research.
