The naked truth

Miami Herald - July 8, 2004

She did it! Macy Gray has fulfilled her pledge to perform nude -- by stripping during her London concert Monday night, reports IMDB.com.

The eccentric singer, 33, appeared naked behind a chair onstage at the Coronet venue during a sterling rendition of Nina Simone's Feeling Good -- where she was photographed for a book set to be released next year to raise funds for AIDS in Africa.

"Macy Gray was fantastic, really energetic," said one fan. "She really captured the audience's heart when she came onstage naked."

Gray -- real name Natalie McIntyre -- reappeared onstage afterward dressed in a black coat and pajamas to sing a string of songs including Sexual Revolution, Oblivion and I Try.
