Community Health of South Dade Inc. has arranged for health screenings and cultural activities at the mall during the event.
CHI, which specializes in providing healthcare for South Dade residents without health insurance, will offer a number of free health screenings and information booths, including such things as prenatal care, diabetes, substance abuse, breast self-examination, blood pressure, lung cancer, dental health, HIV/AIDS and medication review.
A number of other agencies also will participate, offering screenings and advice on cholesterol, asthma and cancer awareness.
The National Health Center Week celebration ends with School Physical and Immunization Day on Aug. 24.
