Free HIV testing will be offered at the FIU Health and Wellness Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At noon, a moment of silence will be observed followed by a performance by Voice United at the Graham Center Forum. A giant human red ribbon will be created as part of the Campus AIDS March at 12:45 p.m.
A series of guest speakers and open forums will be offered from 2-5 p.m. in Graham Center 140.
The Village improv group will perform at 6 p.m. in the Graham Center Forum followed by the candlelight vigil at the Graham Center fountain. The vigil will close with the dropping of flowers in a lake in memory of those who lost their lives to AIDS.
Panels from the National AIDS Memorial Quilt will be displayed from Monday through Friday at the Graham Center.
The day-long events are free and open to the public. For more information regarding World AIDS Day call Marly Hernandez at 348-4080.
