Asked whether there were plans to reduce market prices of the drugs, the director-general of the Centrale d'Achat des M dicaments Essentiels au Rwanda, Ernest Rwagasana, said people should not expect instant reduction, but, if all went well, Rwandans could expect the drugs at cheap prices, RNA reported.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the African Association of Purchasing Centres for the Essential Generic Drugs, held in Kigali last week, recommended that medical and pharmaceutical companies should never again go beyond a profit of 5 percent on HIV/AIDS drugs in Rwanda, RNA reported.
