Please take out your appointment book before you read this. You might want to make some plans.

Days, weeks and, in some cases, the entire month of October, have been designated as awareness initiatives.

So wear the appropriate ribbons, schedule a screening, make a donation, help a friend, help a stranger, offer some advice, say a prayer or burn some incense but, most of all, be aware of:
