Pamela Sohn, 47, was released Monday from the DuPage County Jail, where she had been held since Sept. 12, said Timothy Martin, her attorney.
Sohn was arrested last September after Elmhurst police received a call from a local resident. Sohn and the man had met at a bar before going to his home for intimate contact. As she was leaving, the man claimed she had stolen $80 and detained her until police arrived.
"Our investigation indicated details that weakened the state's case resulting in this plea bargain to a lesser crime," Martin said.
The man has tested negative for HIV.
Judge Michael Burke also placed Sohn on 2 years of probation and ordered her to undergo counseling.
